Lift & Move USA is a joint venture between the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), KHL Group and the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).
KHL is a publisher and conference organizer that specializes in the construction and lifting equipment industries.
It publishes ten international business-to-business magazines focusing on the construction sector, including International Cranes and Specialized Transport - a worldwide magazine – and two magazines targeted at the US, American Cranes & Transport (ACT) and Access Lift & Handlers (ALH). International Cranes and Specialized Transport and ACT are both official magazines of the SC&RA.

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) was formed in January 1995 as a non-profit organization with its mission to develop effective performance standards for safe crane operation to assist all segments of general industry and construction.
By providing thorough, independent assessments of knowledge and skills, NCCCO aims to enhance lifting equipment safety, reduce workplace risk, improve performance records, stimulate training, and give due recognition to the professionals who work in, with, and around cranes.
NCCCO, which is headquartered in Fairfax, VA, has administered over 850,000 written and practical examinations and issued more than 240,000 certifications in all 50 states, ensuring that a significant portion of crane operators throughout the nation are informed, trained, and qualified.
NCCCO programs are recognized by the federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration(OSHA) as meeting its requirements for crane operator competency, and are nationally accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
“Certification has a vital role to play in addressing the nation’s skills shortage. Highlighting the value of professionally developed and nationally accredited personnel certification is key to attracting today’s youth into this industry.”

The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) is an international trade association of nearly 1,300 member companies from 46 nations. Members are involved in specialized transportation, machinery moving and erecting, industrial maintenance, millwrighting, crane and rigging operations, manufacturing and rental.
SC&RA helps members run more efficient and safer businesses by monitoring and affecting pending legislation and regulatory policies at the state and national levels; researching and reporting on safety concerns and best business practices; and providing four industry meetings/exhibit centers where these and other relevant member issues can be advanced.
An important component of SC&RA is the SC&R Foundation, which provides grants, scholarships, education and specialized industry research to benefit both the industry and member companies.
Located in Washington D.C., the SC&RA has been providing strong support to its industry for 65 years.
“Our industry creates thousands of rewarding jobs every year - jobs that offer the potential for long-term careers. Lift & Move USA will promote these opportunities to the next generation of employees, highlighting all sorts of jobs, from crane operators, truck drivers and CAD design engineers to mechanics, welders and sales staff.”
